Oh and, I don't really know anything about Catholicism other that what I can look up. So if I ever say something horribly wrong or ridiculous feel free to correct me. The Church of Trinity Blood seems to be most similar to the Church of the Renaissance around the 14th and 15th century. It's also been a bit skewed by 1000 years and lost history. So I'm trying hard to keep that in mind.

XXVII (Voice)

Why... why d-does God p-p-punish us? Why m-must we continue to s-s-suffer, even after s-such a horrible thing? I want to f-forget. I want to forget it all.... What I saw... I wh-what I kept s-seeing near the end....

XXVI (voice)

Wh-wh-what is that? Wh-what is that o-o-outside!? Has H-H-Hell finally s-sprung up? Is... is this g-going to be the end of the world?

[There are the cries of a Lavos Spawn heard in the background, but they sound fairly far away, perhaps down the street.]

Ahhh! p-please go away... p-p-please go away.

[Suddenly there is a crash as the communicator is dropped, the young Pope can be heard crying in the near distance.]

G-God, please God... h-hear my words... p-p-please make them g-go away.

XXV (Voice)

Um... d-do many of you c-celebrate name days? I've n-noticed a lot of people c-celebrate their b-birthdays, but I haven't s-seen mention of name days.... I wonder if y-you're really considered a y-year older when you a-arrive only a f-few months before.... I was wondering if p-people did... wh-when they might be? I know the A-Archbishops will be on the th-thirteenth, and F-Father Anderson is the s-same day as mine.... Though... Albion doesn't c-celebrate them I d-don't think....
[The communicator comes on with Alessandro fumbling around it It appears he's knocked it off his bed as he's rooting through a box. The box has his Papal vestments in it, including his rosary and a gilt bible. He pulls out his rosary, which is quite long, made up of white pearls and gold beads.

When he has it out, he shifts his position to kneeling, he holds the cross in his hands and raises it to his lips and kisses it, then does the sign of the cross.

In the n-name of the Father, and of the S-Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

[He lowers his hands and his head, and with his eyes closed begins to speak softly to himself.]

I believe in God, the Father almighty, C-Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was c-conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, s-suffered under Pontius Pilate, was c-crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, s-sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father almighty; from thence He shall c-come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the c-communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

[As he begins, and relaxes into a mediative state, his stutter also begins to ease. He moves his hand up the cross and places his fingers on the first bead.]

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

[He moves up to the next bead, and continues his prayers until the full recitation of the fifteen decades is concluded.]

XXIII (voice)

Th-there was a festival w-wasn't there? I m-missed it.... E-even in such a place.... even such a s-sad and horrible place... p-people somehow find the will to d-do such things.... It's l-like those peasants in B-Brno, they... though there w-was a war coming, and a-all they knew might be d-destroyed, though they were p-poor and had little... they found it in their h-hearts to still play music and d-dance and smile.... They were so c-carefree....

I wish I c-could have gone.... I f-feel more confined then e-ever before.

XXII (Voice)

I w-wonder what has been g-going on.... I f-feel out of touch with what usually happens outside. N-no one ever tells me a-anything....

I wonder if that m-man will really make c-curry for me.

Fourth Wall

Wh-what's going on... i-isn't this strange? All th-these people and... and... what sh-should I do?

XXI (Video)

[Alessandro can be seen off in the corner of the room. He is curled up, his arms around his legs and his head tucked into his knees. He's softly crying.]

(OOC: This is backdated to the morning after the ghost was defeated and everyone went back to normal.)

XX (Voice)

Everyone is acting weird, but I can't seem to care. My mind tells me I should, that's normal, yet... it's like I don't know how anymore. The person I used to be just the other day, is like an alien person you might read about in a book. I should be disconcerted, but I'm not. Nothing matters in the end, not even caring, not living, not anything.

XIX (Text)

I never thought how something very familiar, can make you miss home so very much. It's nearing the end of Easter Week, and in Rome it would be so busy, there would be a lot to do, and lots of activities....

I miss Rome so very much. This place is so horrible, I almost wish I was back in Brno!

T-tonight will mark the b-beginning of Easter Vigil. I'm n-not sure if there is e-everything n-needed. But, I'm s-sure things will s-still go well.... If I f-focus on it, it makes b-being here just a l-little easier. A-almost like I can f-forget....

F-Father Anderson, w-would it be alright if you c-could walk me to the ch-church before s-sunset tonight? I th-think I will d-dress properly for it, and... try to d-do as much as I c-can. If... i-if that's alright.

Um... I would a-also like to invite a-anyone who would like to o-observe. It d-doesn't matter what you are, i-if you would like to c-come that's fine....

XVII (Voice)

B-blessed is he who c-comes in the name of the Lord.
From the h-house of the L-Lord we b-bless you.

The L-Lord is God,
and he h-has made his l-light shine u-upon us.
With b-boughs in hand, j-j-join in the festal p-procession
up to the h-horns of the a-altar.

H-Holy Week b-begins today. N-next Sunday it will be E-Easter. U-usually at home, there's a lot to do this t-time of year. There are so many things to p-prepare. I always s-s-start to feel v-very uncomfortable. Yet, r-right now I sort of m-miss it all. J-just a little bit.

XVI (Voice)

[The comm comes to live with the sound of a body tripping over something soft, and falling. There is a small cry of startlement followed by a relieved sigh. But, not soon after that the voice can be heard again in a panic.]

B-b-b-dead body!

[The voice is scared and hysterical. The sound of shuffling away quickly can be heard, as if the speaker were quickly pushing themselves away on the ground.]

Th-there's a d-d-dead body h-here!!

[Any other speech is impossible to understand, as it's mostly undefinable sounds and crying.]

(OOC: Alessandro, trying to be less of a burden has discovered Lafayel's body here. People are welcome to come and join him.)

XV (Voice

What is wh-white day? And wh-why is everyone t-talking about it?

XIV (Text)

There is a frightening man that has been harassing me. He's said inappropriate things about Sister and he seems a bit unbalanced....

XIII (Voice)

D-does anyone know how long a c-cold is suppose to l-last?

[There's the sound of wet coughing, it doesn't sound good at all.]

I w-want it to end....

XII (Voice)

S-Sister, i-in case you didn't know, um.... F-Father Nightroad's friend's... owner? boss h-has returned. M-Miss Hellsing, she wanted m-me to tell you.

Oh, I was u-using the dates that this d-device gives us as a c-calender, it seems that this W-Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, wh-which means that Lent is c-coming, and Easter w-will be soon. Though, I feel l-like I'm already f-fasting....

I wonder wh-what I should give up....

B-but, I won't h-have to actually p-put it on people who m-might want to, w-will I?

XI (Voice)

I w-wanted to thank the person who m-made the fire in the e-entrance hall. I think it has h-helped a lot of people.

[There's a pause as he sneezes and sniffs a bit.]

With that....

S-Sister? Um, Father N-Nightroad said I should....

[He stops again, he really doesn't want to worry anyone.]

I-I haven't been f-feeling very well.
[The video comes on as Alessandro is kneeling at the side of a bed. He is holding his Rosary in his hands, bent in prayer. Though the video just came on, it seems he has been doing this consistently for a while now. In a soft voice he recites scripture to himself unsteadily in Latin. He is obviously afraid and is searching for any sort of solace he can find.]

OOC cut: Psalm 46 and other prayingCollapse )

[He slouches more, as if he could become small enough to disappear. He shakes a little, as if he were crying, which is what he has started to do. Unlike when he was in prayer, his words have switched to Roman Common, or what most would be familiar with as Italian.]

I am s-still worried Sister, I-I am still afraid, th-though I trust in God to d-deliver us, though I h-have faith, I s-still fear. I am a-ashamed, why c-can't I be s-strong like you? Wh-why can't my faith r-reassure me in this time of c-crisis?

[He is talking to himself, though his words are directed to Caterina. He turns his tear streaked face towards the communicator. He tilts his head watching it for a moment then his eyes grow wide and he scrambles over to it.]

How l-long have you been on?

[He bites his bottom lip looking askance nervously. Though he is normally rather pale, he's looking paler than usual.]

W-well... as long as you are o-on....

[He does the Sign of the Cross into the camera.]

In the n-name of the Father, and o-of the Son, and of the h-Holy Spirit. Amen.

A-Almighty and E-Eternal God,
You are the e-everlasting health of th-those who believe in Y-You.
Hear us for Y-Your sick servant F-Father Nightroad
for whom we i-implore the aid of Your t-tender mercy,
that being r-restored to bodily health,
he may g-give thanks to You in Your Ch-Church.
Through C-Christ our Lord.

[He repeats the Sign of the Cross, again repeating it's prayer.]

P-please be well F-Father Nightroad, and... p-please, everyone t-take care....

(OOC: Just a small note, with the oncoming flooding and freezing of Marshall and the snow storm, I don't see Alessandro surviving this, and he may die. If anyone who is close to him wishes to prevent this from happing, they are more than welcome to come get him.)

Sister, so much is happening, it makes me feel worried. I was told there is a food shortage, and monsters roam around hidden in the skins of those who are trusted. I fear things could break into riot... isn't that what usually happens when stress becomes overwhelming? When food runs low and moral cast down?

All I can think to do is pray, pray to God with all my heart that he will see us through these times of difficulty, trust in Him and try and persevere.

But.... I can't help but fear, always fear....

What would you do Sister? What would you do at home during a time like this? What should we do now?

People I know have gotten hurt, will people I know also die?

VIII (Voice)

F-Father Nightroad? I... I think I saw your f-friend not long ago. He was a little d-different. Not scary at all....

I w-wonder if it would be okay if I w-went outside today. The snow looks nice, but... m-monsters.....

VII (Voice)

I-I understand that th-things aren't the b-best here. And... th-there are a lot of things that, um, w-we might take for granted, b-but.... I r-really want a hot b-bath. I f-feel miserable and c-cold.

I g-got my civilian clothes the other d-day, I w-wonder what other people g-got.

Prayer VI

I'm a little bored, Hikaru said you have to make things to preoccupy yourself, but I'm not sure what I could make. I was taking care of my plant, but it seems to have run it's course already. Maybe I could ask to go out somewhere? I haven't left this apartment since Christmas.... But... it's so scary out there, with all the monsters and the violence. There is also an Evil King that lives in this city, surely that is another name for The Devil. It makes me uneasy and worried.

I want to meet people....

Prayer V (voice)

How d-did the video d-display on broken monitors? It's... s-sort of strange, isn't it? Or, i-is it just a projection th-that works on it's own? S-still, regardless of how it w-works, they said the w-winter will be r-really bad. W-will everyone be o-okay?

[There's a long pause before he continues to talk.]

Um... m-my plants finished blooming, I-I think. So, I w-was going to t-trim the f-flowers. It's a wh-white lily, th-though, other than the flowers it d-doesn't resemble one quite as m-much. I-I'm giving one to Sister and S-Seres, w-would anyone else like a l-lily?

Prayer IV (Voice)

[Alessandro's voice is quick, and nervous. It's obvious he's distressed and on the brink of frightened tears.]

P-p-people murder e-each other here. Th-there's that s-sort of violence in the s-street. J-just recently.... I-I thought only m-monsters would b-be dangerous... I-I never thought p-people would be v-violent considering..... Why w-would you do th-that? Why w-would you h-hurt people who are a-also trapped here? Why would y-you make th-this place s-so much harder?

I'm s-scared. I-is it even s-safe inside? I-is it s-safe anywhere?

I-I want t-to go home.

Prayer III (Video)

[The comunicater comes on with the young Alessandro kneeling before it. He's dressed in his full vestments and has his hands folded in prayer. His eyes are cosed as he speaks in a soft voice.]

Father, you make this holy night radiant with the splendor of Jesus Christ our light. We welcome him as Lord, the true light of the world. Bring us to eternal joy in the kingdom of heaven, where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

[After he is finished with his midnight prayer, he opens his eyes and looks towards the camera. Though before he seemed to be calm, now he looks a little more nervouse. He gives the camera a very weak smile.]

Felix dies Nativitatis.... M-Merry Christmas....

[He pauses a bit having acomplished what he had aimed for. He was glad that he had done it, even though he was trying to avoid needing to do any service that may happen. He reaches over and turns off the communicator, having finished his contribution.]

Prayer II

[The comm comes to life with a close up of a young teens pale and freckled face. His blue grey eyes are wide with curiosity. He seems to be inspecting the comm. After a little bit the device is turned away and a brief glimpse of the Papal Crown can be seen along with the ornate outer pieces of his vestments can be seen. Again the comm turns, but before anything can be made out the video cuts out.]

And th-this is the v-voice feature...? It l-looks like s-something Albion might h-have. Or... m-maybe pre A-Armagedon? I should ask Sister.

If it's blinking, do-does that mean it's t-t-transmitting...?

[There's a soft little gasp before the audio is turned off.]

[Much later, as if it took him a long time to write it up and submit it, a text transmission is added. It is rather practiced, it seem more like it was written due to formality than a desire to actually say anything.]

I should introduce myself, it would be rude not to.

My name is Alessandro, I am the 399th Pope of Rome. I would like to thank Giovanni and Archbishop Maxwell for helping me when I arrived. As well as Father Abel who talked to my sister.

I'm with my sister now, Cardinal Caterina.

There's not much else to say, so, I hope this is alright.

Prayer I (Accidental Video)

[The video suddenly turned on. All that can be seen is darkness.]

[There is the cry of what sounds like a boy in distress. Shortly followed there is a crash, and the sense of movement. There is the sound of rustling and falling. The communicator is now on its side, yet still doesn't show much. If one were to look very closely they would see a teenage boy curled up not far. He's wearing white and is audibly crying.]

I-I-I want... I want... to g-g-go home...

[There is a long pause as the boy continues to cry and visibly shake.]

Wh-wh-where am I? Th-th-this c-c-c-can't be B-B-Brno.... Could it be the Empire...? But....

[The boy continued to mutter to himself, stuttering the entire time.]

V-Vaclav said... I-I'm sure he wouldn't have let anything happen.... But... what's going on...?

[There was another long pause before the soft and frightened voice spoke up again.]

S-S-Sancte Michael A-A-Archangele, defende nos in p-p-proelio; contra nequitiam et i-i-insidias diaboli e-e-esto praesidium. Imperat i-i-illi Deus; s-s-supplices deprecamur: tuque, Princeps militiae c-coelestis, Satanam aliosque spiritus ma-malignos, qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo, d-divina virtute in infernum detrude.

[As he resided the prayer to himself he seemed to calm down just a little bit, his speech becoming clearer. He repeats it again and again until the video times out.]

(OOC: I'm including the prayer in English, though he probably mumbled it as well as the Latin.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in the battle, be our safeguard and protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; may God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Amen. )
